In 2017 Bomba Estereo, working mostly in the urban environments of Bogota and Los Angeles wanted to reconnect with nature and explore the spiritual roots of their music in a more natural setting. They approached Christian about spending some time at his studio in La Sierra to explore and organize these new ideas. A natural collaborative spirit of creativity emerged, resulting in their first single "Duele". A psychedelic and bass heavy track about heartbreak as manifest through a surrealist lens. In addition to “Duele”, Christian produced four other tracks on Bomba’s Grammy nominated album “Ayo” released later that year. Followed by a collaborative remix and remake of The Arcade Fires hit song “Everything now” with Bomba Estereo and Arcade Fire featuring Los Gaiteros de Ovejas. Mito Y Comadre are Guilermo Laras and Shanna Hernández. Guillermo has been working since 2014 on the ArchivoLares platform in order to release a large body of Venezuelan Folkloric field recordings made by his father Oswaldo Lares from 1969 to 1990. Shanna is an Afro-Venzuelan singer, dancer, writer, theater actor and model. She is strongly committed to women's rights and stopping gender violence and has participated in many events to raise awareness of this in both Colombia and Venezuela. Their 2022 disk "Pa' Lante" is a fusion many of Guilermos childhood influences hearing his father field recordings combined with the modern techniques. Together we approached the process of making the record as a way for Guillo to learn electronic production techniques from Christian as they worked. This very vibrant and lively disk is being released soon by ZZK records: https://www.zzkrecords.com
Los Gaiteros de Ovejas represent the deepest roots of what is surely one of Colombias most beautiful musical contributions to the world, that is Cumbia. Traditional to the core, this music is played on “Tambores y Gaita” with the Gaita being the large traditional indigenous flutes that are the same as the ones played for millennia in La Sierra. This music is a fusion of Indigenous melodies and maracas with the Afro Colombia traditions of Palenque and the Montes de Maria region. Gaita flute player and bandleader Henri Ortiz is also a master luthier, his traditional Colombian instruments are renowned throughout the country for their quality and tone. All of the percussion instruments and flutes you will hear on their disc Amancer were hand made by the musicians themselves especially for these recordings. El Trinar de la Montaña is a group from the city of Medellín that explores the traditional music of the Colombian Caribbean region and creates a proposal where tradition is alive and fresh in the music they perform and create.
The trill of the bagpipes, the ringing of the drum, the strength of the voices and the beat of the drum make this an emotional and enveloping musical experience, in which dancing is inevitable and some shed tears are to be expected to the rhythm of a bullerengue, a drum or a bagpipe joint.
Their songs, which highlight the most important icons of Santa Marta, are composed with naturalness, innovation and harmony. They advance through the shortcuts of joy and certainty.
The special flavor that their music has is that very particular sound that immediately takes us to the most intimate part of the Caribbean. And so the bolero, the cumbia, the porro and the son serve as a backdrop.
With his proposal, the Caribbean musical range will continue to expand, it will continue to travel the world, because its songs seduce, woo and liberate those who listen to them.
The trill of the bagpipes, the ringing of the drum, the strength of the voices and the beat of the drum make this an emotional and enveloping musical experience, in which dancing is inevitable and some shed tears are to be expected to the rhythm of a bullerengue, a drum or a bagpipe joint.

Born on the coast of Spain near Gibraltar, Brisa Fenoy was exposed to a variety of music growing up at this historic crossroads as a child hearing the myths and stories from its unique history as a meeting point of culture down through the ages. This instilled sense of wonder for our human story and particularly the struggles of women and migrants. Brisa has used her platform as a professional author, fashion model, musician and activist to transmit her message of feminine empowerment and social justice. During the quarantine she and Christian took the time to explore a more organic approach to expressing the feeling of the strange new moment we all found ourselves living in. The result was "Quitame" and you can hear it here: https://open.spotify.com/track/0WRFB6farMNCKRSHZyPcdh?si=28e5a19b8b92425b
In 2016 Alison Tavel brought a one-of-a-kind analog/digital hybrid synthesizer to the jungle for a week of sessions with Christian. Alison’s late father Don Tavel had invented a synthesizer he called the Resynator in the late ‘70s and 25 years after his death in 1988, she decided to dig it out of the attic and explore its capabilities. Alison’s mission was to get the Resynator out into the world so that people could finally enjoy the innovative gift that her father had created. Christian not only helped her understand the technicalities of the unit, he also invited a party of talented musicians to come and record with the Resynator.
