At Sonidoselva we welcome children of all ages. We provide many ongoing yearly programs such as Chess, Capoeira, dance and music classes. We're focused on creating opportunities for children that expand their understandings of life through music and art. By exposing kids to a broad range of cultural forms and musical styles we hope to plant the seeds of a positive future. During the summer season we provide space wherein families and children can meet and interact with the musicians during the day around their performances, sharing their cultural heritage and musical traditions through classes and workshops.
Our facilities include a world class recording studio where multi Grammy winning music producer Christian Castagno teaches advanced music production retreats. Christian is from New York City and has over thirty years experience spanning a wide range of genres and unique techniques from all eras of audio production. Equally at home doing analog jazz records as he is behind a modular synth working on immersive audio and sound design, Chris can help you to sharpen your production skills no matter what level you are at.
Sonidoselva will hold daily morning Yoga classes from Tuesday through Saturdays with one of Minca’s many talented and qualified Yoga teachers such as Alex Amarnatkh of Casa Yoga. Yoga classes have a minimal participation fee and include a variety of medicinal tea blends that compliment meditation. Join us in movement that facilitates good health in mind, body and spirit.
Sonidoselva is a 100% solar powered event space and seeks to be an example of sustainable building techniques and community practices. In order to produce structures of sufficient mass for the acoustic properties required we have turned to pure compressed earth clay blocks sourced directly from the property. Their production produces no emissions and requires no transportation. We will use locally sourced materials such as natural stone for our terraces and Indigenous building methods as well as renewable Cane and Teca. In the future we will be expanding this sustainable practice into every facet of Sonidoselva, developing many programs and workshops specifically related to sustainability.
