Sonidoselva is evolving and expanding rapidly and it is our intention to do some major upgrades to our facility this year in order to support a much broader program in our community here in Minca. These include the installation of a high resolution outdoor immersive audio surround sound system, construction of a clay oven and outdoor kitchen for events and cooking workshops, expanding the capacity of the main indoor kitchen to accommodate classes, a large live recording room for the studio, a pool and sauna, a meditation deck space overlooking the river as well as a stone terrace outdoor gallery space with more projects to be announced soon.
This year Sonidoselva will be expanding our kitchen facilities by building an old world kitchen with outdoor clay ovens. We will also be upgrading our equipment in the main kitchen to accommodate classes and workshops. Our new and upgraded kitchens will allow us to continue providing high quality, healthy and diverse foods for our guests and students.
Sound and music are at the center of what Sonidoselva is and we want to push the envelope of what is possible as a concert listening experience. It is our goal to implement a fully immersive outdoor surround sound system for our events this year for an absolutely unique ultra high quality listening experience.
There are a great variety of beautiful traditional Colombian instruments and we will be to constructing a comprehensive woodworking shop in order to facilitate the preservation and transmission of these traditions. After setting up our workspace we will be holding a series of workshops hosting Luthiers and players from all regions of Colombia who will travel here to teach the art of making these instruments while familiarizing participants with the rich folkloric histories that surround the. construction and playing of them.
Everywhere. Because the world needs more of them. We would like to explore permaculture techniques and build greenhouses for the cultivation of herbs and medicinals as well as create educational workshops on sustainable cultivation practices.
